Home > Event > Family van washing and donation event for World Relief
22 April, 2017
10:30 am
World Relief Dupage Aurora, 1825 College Ave #230, Wheaton, IL 60187

World Relief DuPage/Aurora helps hundreds of refugees start new lives in the United States and are located just 20 minutes away in Wheaton!

At this event we will receive a tour of World Relief including their warehouse that houses all of the items they need to furnish apartments for new refugees!

We’re asking everyone to bring as many items on the Good Neighbor kit (http://worldreliefdupage.org/sites/default/files/page/files/Family%20GNK%202016%20Handout.pdf) list as possible to donate to World Relief. These items will help make the transition to a new apartment in America easier for a refugee family. Imagine showing up with nothing, but the clothes on your back.

We’ll also be spending 30-45 minutes cleaning World Relief’s vans/cars that are used to pick up refugees at the airport as well as take them to appointments (doctor, etc.). Imagine how nice it feels to get into a clean van/car. So, please dress appropriately. All cleaning supplies will be supplied.

We hope you’ll join us! Please spread the word to friends that would like to take part of a morning helping World Relief DuPage Aurora. It’ll make you and your kids feel great and proud!

About the club

I Support Community’s Inside Out Club is on a mission to develop kids with character inside and out: Kids that work well together, include others, keep trying if they fail, can imagine what it’s like to be someone else, know themselves inside and out, are curious, thankful and kind, and support the community.  Can you imagine if every child grew up believing and living their lives this way?

Our vision is a community filled with empathetic and engaged community contributors for generations to come.  We believe the more children and families that participate in the Inside Out Club, over time, will make this vision come true. Thank you for being a part of it!

The Inside Out Club (https://www.isupportcommunity.org/inside-out-club/) is on the weekends, in schools and online and we offer it free of cost so that everyone can participate regardless of their financial situation. If you’d like to make a donation, please click here. (https://www.isupportcommunity.org/donate/).
