Let’s show foster children how loved they are!
We’ll be learning about the Rice Child + Family Center and Hephzibah Home, two nonprofits passionate about child welfare and helping children in foster care. Event activities include collecting and sorting donation items from these organizations’ Wish Lists as well as making mindfulness jars to donate. Each child attending the event will also go home with a mindfulness jar.
Donations for Dress-Up, a local civic minded group, will deliver the items we collect to both organizations in connection with a fall party.
This is a great way to build empathy for kids in foster care, demonstrate kindness and learn ways we can all help.
What you need to bring
Please bring items to donate to these agencies caring for foster children. The most-wanted list includes new kids’ DVDs and CDs, and kids’ spinner (battery-powered) toothbrushes. Additional items needed include: gently used jackets and coats, school supplies and pajamas (Youth Medium – Youth XL).

We’ll meet Naperville Bank & Trust’s community room (2nd floor) on Saturday, Sept. 30, at 10:30 a.m. to learn about the Rice Child + Family Center and Hephzibah Home, and what it’s like for a child to be in foster care.
Space is limited. You must register to reserve your spot(s). There is no cost to register, but we do expect that if you register you will attend. If something arises, please take the time to go in and update your registration so that we have an accurate head count, or you can email email@example.com. Thank you.

Age guidelines / Parent participation
Inside Out Club weekend events are designed for children ages 3-12 and their parents. Older children are welcome to participate as volunteer/mentors for the younger kids. These are family events, not drop off. If you have questions about these guidelines, please contact Rita at firstname.lastname@example.org.
About the club
I Support Community’s Inside Out Club is on a mission to develop kids with character inside and out: Kids who work well together, include others, keep trying if they fail, can imagine what it’s like to be someone else, know themselves inside and out, are curious, thankful and kind, and support the community. Can you imagine if every child grew up believing and living their lives this way?
Our vision is individuals and families empowered through strength of character and volunteerism to live fuller lives for generations to come. We believe the more children and families that participate in the Inside Out Club, over time, we will make this vision come true. Thank you for being a part of it!
The Inside Out Club is on the weekends, in schools and @home (online). We offer it free of cost so that everyone can participate regardless of their financial situation. If you’d like to make a donation, please click HERE.
