Home > Become a Volunteer

We’re looking for volunteers that are passionate about education, kids and community!

Ideal volunteer candidates are:

Committed: to our purpose and in our actions

Genuine: authentic, be yourself, represent yourself

Caring: thoughtful of others

Engaged: actively involved

Volunteer opportunities at I Support Community include:

Afterschool Inside Out Club: We need volunteers to work with students once a month in the classroom. Each month the students learn about a different charity and do mini-service projects. All program materials (supplies, agendas, etc.) are provided and volunteers will receive training.

Each session of the Club has four volunteers: 1 lead and 3 support. Lead volunteers will need to commit to 3-4 hours per month, while support volunteers will only spend 2 hours per month. Volunteers must agree to a background check, which will be paid for by I Support Community and is required by the school district.

In-Kind Skill Donation: If you are skilled in marketing, blogging, and/or WordPress and would like to donate your talents, we’d love to talk to you about how those talents could assist us in increasing volunteerism and giving in the community.

Fundraising/Event Planning: Each year we host 2-3 fundraisers including our Winter Wine Event and I Support Community 5k. We need committee chairs and members for these events willing to help with event logistics, marketing, sponsorships, etc.

Interested in any of these volunteer opportunities? We’d love to talk to you about being a part of the ISC Team!
